The 88' cruise ship tender PINTA was recently delivered to Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines by Keith Marine, Inc., Palatka, Florida. Engineering for the vessel was provided by DeJONG & LEBET, INC., Naval Architects, Jacksonville, Florida, and Nautical Design, Inc. PINTAis the seventh tender project with RCCL that involved DeJONG & LEBET, INC. Keith Marine, Inc. has built the last (6) tenders.
PINTA is classified by DNV to carry 250 passengers. She also features large fuel tanks and water tanks for transfer to the shore facilities at the remote island locations she services.
The vessel features (2) passenger seating decks, and a mid-level foc'sle area for boarding. There is also a small air-conditioned crew quarters area, with baths, galley, and head facilities.
PINTA is powered by a pair of Detroit Diesel Series 60 main engines, developing 400-hp @ 1800-rpm. Electrical power is supplied by (2) 20 kW John Deere generator sets. A hydraulic 50-hp bowthruster was furnished by Wesmar.
