A little fun with face painting, November 2008.
The airshow this year (10.26.08) was great, though Katharine found the whole thing a little too stressful. Some beautiful aircraft showed up as always.
A rare family portrait, sadly without Jake. The USS Stephen W. Groves was named after a WWII aviator of the same (duh) name. Click on the photo for a bigger one. This photo was taken for us by a gentleman named Bill Roy who was there to present an award to the captain of the ship.
On 10 October, Katharine finished her first round of dance lessons and we were able to go watch. Each of these photos links to a different video clip. . .
Katharine has been taking dance lessons of late. She also turned four this past weekend.
September 14, 2008, was a fine day to be at the beach here in Florida.
Alexander tossed the training wheels this weekend, now he really cruises.
This past weekend also marked the beginning of another soccer season. Check out the video here! But note that it is about 36MB, it'll take a bit to download.
Tropical Storm Fay came through on August 22, 2008. The next day we made it out to the beach for some very pleasant weather. I guess Katharine won't get to keep wearing that dress for much longer.
And you can see Allison still likes her over-priced coffee drinks . . .
Our summer vacation happened in late June and early July in 2008. Activities included time at the CWB on Lake Union, Guemes Island, sailing with Pops, a train ride down by the Mountain, visiting Karen and Tim and playing in the snow at the Nelson's cabin.
Oh, and Katharine broke her arm falling off a piece of driftwood. Here's a shot after we got back to Jacksonville:

Alexander "graduated" preschool this May of 2008.
In late April 2008 I went to Mobile for work. While there I had the opportunity to visit the USS ALABAMA. It's a great park, well worth a visit if you're in the area.
Still looking good after 13 or 14 years of service, this shot is from St. Joseph Peninsula State Park.

Amazingly, another Easter has passed us by. This one was 2008 . . .
First big fishing trip, this one was just the boys . . . March 2, 2008.
The year has been flying past . . . But in February of 2008 the Turner Grandparents came to visit. Activities included sailing, the Highland Games, the Zoo and lots of reading.
Early February 2008 marked my first trip to the Magic Kingdom, the rest of the family was already veterans of this trip.
January 2008 saw the addition of another vessel to the flotilla.
Christmas has rolled past us again.
