The Princesa, under new ownership, has been renamed the Emerald Princess II. She now operates out of Brunswick, Georgia.

 

Following is the text of the press release from when the boat was first built.

200 FOOT GAMING VESSEL GOES TO WORK

 

In mid-October, the 200’ Offshore Gaming Vessel Princesa started twice-a-day cruises out of Bay Front Marina in Miami, Florida.

She is the 2nd vessel specifically designed by DeJong & Lebet, for Offshore Gaming. The first one is the highly successful SWATH ‘SUNCRUZ VI", operating out of Dania, Florida.

The "PRINCESA" is a 200’ monohull with 3 enclosed and 1 partially open deck. In order to reduce the dreaded seasickness, she is fitted with special bilge keels and two Flume Stabilization Tanks. The combined roil reduction is between 50% and 70%.

The mega yacht-styling fits in well with the South Florida ambience.

Two 3412 caterpillar main engines provide a cruising speed of 12 knots. The 435 kW generators are also driven by 3412 caterpillars

Keith Marine in Palatka, Florida, constructed the vessel. It was their largest vessel to date.

The vessel is USCG certified under Subchapter K on a partially protected route. She admeasures less than 100 Gross Tons.

Interior design services were provided by Directions in Design, St. Louis, MO. The vessel features Casino spaces on the Main and 2nd Decks. The 3rd Deck is an enclosed dining and entertainment area.

Special attention was given to a smoke-free environment and low machinery-originated noise levels.
